Hi, I’m Marina Garcia, a Berkeley, CA-based certified hypnotist. I provide professional hypnosis and hypnotherapy services for clients in the East Bay and surrounding communities who want to overcome anxiety, fears or phobias, and create meaningful personal growth. I help clients learn how to change habitual patterns by using their minds to rewire their brains. Integrative Hypnotherapy gives clients practical tools for lasting change. I love working with curious minds, creatives, athletes, high performers, and anyone playful at heart who enjoys exploring themselves and their potential. My favorite clients come in with a willingness to collaborate, a clear vision of their goals, and a deep commitment to creating real change in their lives.
As a youth, I was frequently sick and often let down by conventional medicine, which sent me on an early search for tools of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual empowerment. In my early 30s, I struggled with what felt like an unbreakable habit — until I met a hypnotherapist at a local group meditation. That habit had served to numb my “big feelings” and quiet my anxieties, limiting my ability to connect with myself and others and keeping me from fully experiencing life’s highs and lows. Through hypnotherapy, I broke the habit and got my spark back. My overall performance in life improved, as I was no longer driven by fear and anxiety. Hypnosis helped my creativity soar, along with my self-worth, self-confidence, and intuition. I learned tools to get unstuck, release old blocks, manage anxiety, and navigate big feelings. This work profoundly changed my life and inspired me to dedicate my career to sharing the power of hypnosis with others.
I live in the Bay Area with my partner and our two cats. When I’m not supporting clients or exploring consciousness, mindfulness, and the brain, I create art, read, and move my body. I enjoy collage, painting, linocut, mosaics, embroidery and sewing. I read about spirituality, holistic health and ancient wisdom. I go to the gym, swim, take walks and bike. I pay close attention to my energy body as well as my physical body, which helps me stay grounded and present for myself and my clients.
